De jaren 80 blijft een raar decennium Heb hier heel veel jeugdfavorieten staan die ik met de beste wil van de wereld gewoon niet uit mijn lijst weet te verwijderen. Zijn het echt zulke bijzondere films (ze hebben een ontegenzeggelijk eigen stijl die heel erg "80's" is...) of hebben ze zich gewoon op een tijd in mijn hersenpan genesteld waarop er onverwoestbare connecties werden aangelegd? ik durf het niet te zeggen, maar ik vind die films dus écht heel goed. Ook een decennium met opvallend veel hele sterke Russen, met dank aan de politiek van Michail Gorbatsjov, waarvoor enorme hulde! Ook de jaren van de eerste hele goede anime (voor de liefhebbers noem ik er ook vast veel te weinig!)

Gisteren met enorme stip binnengekomen: Dagje naar het Strand

Wat een fenomenale film! Met stip in mijn top 3 van beste Nederlandse films ook, naast de Noorderlingen en Terrorama! Ik was helemaal verbaasd omdat mijn vorige (slechts) twee ervaringen met Theo van Gogh's films niet heel overweldigend waren. Ik pik er de komende dagen nog een paar mee in het retrospectief van EYE

Naast Yang's Day on the Beach ook nog het tweede stranddagje in de jaren 80 lijst, cool, ik houd wel van strandfilms, dat moge duidelijk zijn

Raar decennium inderdaad. Nergens heb ik denk ik zoveel genre-cinema in mijn lijst én ook echte favoriete auteurs als Jarman, Fassbinder, Cassavetes. Tóch is het het decennium van Krzysztof Kieslovski denk ik of Eric Rohmer (al kies ik andere dan beavis) - en in geen enkele decennium lijst is de Japanse bijdrage kleiner in relatieve zin (al hebben we hier 5 animes), nergens is denk ik de Duitse bijdrage groter. En de entree van de Iraannse en Afrikaanse cinema.

Ik heb dit lijstje ruim 10 jaar geleden geplaasts , op 7 oktober 2005 .

Natuurlijk heb ik ondertussen veel meer ( internationale ) jaren '80 films gezien , vooral veel meer Franse en Italiaanse films . Blade Runner (1982) en Blue Velvet (1986) zijn de enige films die nog steeds in mijn top 10 staan . 1984 , 1985 en 1986 zijn zo te zien mijn favoriete jaren van de jaren '80 …

Nog steeds een prima decennium maar blijft lastig om een keuze te maken. Met veel favoriete/amusante films maar het zijn inderdaad ook weer niet van die uitschieters. De gemakkelijk kijkbare films scoren beter dan bijvoorbeeld de meer inspannende James Bond-films.
