Sluit me aan bij eRCee hierboven; het ziet er allemaal altijd strak en stijlvol uit, maar iets te generiek. Toch nog vier 4* films bij elkaar gemaakt, wat een prima score is.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is niet door te komen en op zijn nieuwe zit ik allerminst te wachten.

Fincher, koning van (thriller)drama's en mijn #2 in de toplijst. Op Alien3 na alles gezien, en denk ook niet dat ik die ga kijken want Alien was nogal saai.

Heerlijke regisseur. Zit altijd vanaf de 1e seconde aan het beeld gekluisterd. Spannende, mysterieuze en originele verhalen altijd weer ondersteund door een geweldige sfeer met casts die Fincher nog nooit in de steek hebben gelaten. The Game en Panic Room zijn lichte negatieve uitschieters, maar die cijfer ik zo weg. Jammer dat hij de Millennium reeks niet lijkt af te maken.

Ondanks voldoende scores geen fan van Fincher (en zijn acteurskeuzes). Enkel zijn drie laatste films niet gezien, maar Rooney Mara komt nog niet aan de enkels van Noomi "de enige Lisbeth Salander" Rapace en van Gone Girl heb ik al genoeg sfeer geproefd om te weten dat dit alweer wordt overgewaardeerd. Is het de beroemde seksscène waar zoveel om te doen was? Who knows. Om te verrassen (of shockeren zoals je wil) moet je straffer uit de hoek komen. Ook: Ben Affleck en (wellicht) de twists.

Minority Report (2002), Always (1989) en E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) zijn ooit wel eens voorbij gekomen. Kan me er weinig van herinneren. Voor een aantal films uit m'n lijstje moest ik diep graven. Het zegt iets over de lichte verteerbaarheid van zijn werk , denk ik.
