opvallend, twee daarvan zijn Cassavettes

ik hoop dit jaar dieper zijn werk in te duiken, dus deze twee zal ik ook over niet al te lange tijd gaan zien!

Ik heb Cassavetes vorig jaar ontdekt en dat bevalt me tot nu toe erg goed. Ik heb slechts 3 films gezien, maar die bevielen allen erg goed. Ik ben blij dat ik nog wat van hem te zien heb en dat ga ik ook zeker doen. Hoop dat jou dat ook net zo gaat bevallen als mij.

Was bij mij alweer meer dan drie jaar geleden, toch is er niet zo uitzonderlijk veel veranderd. Vooral bij de oude films wat verschuivingen.

@ Film Pegasus, heb je na dat halfjaar nog met veel wijzigingen te maken gehad. Ik vind het nadeel van die lijstjes altijd dat het al snel niet meer helemaal klopt, al ben ik wel degelijk een lijstjesfreak.

Ik heb enkele films herzien en het geluk gehad enkele leuke 5* en 4.5* te kunnen zien. Dit lijstje geeft op het eerste zicht trouwens een vertekend beeld over mijn aantal 5* films. In de meeste jaren is er slechts 1 film die er bovenuit steekt en niet dat ik elk jaar een stuk of 10 5* films gezien heb.

Veel schitterende films, veel goede thrillers en komedies. Sommige heb ik nog niet gezien. Verrassend zijn 1964 en 1972, maar dat maakt zo'n lijst net boeiend!

Na een jaar ook maar een update gemaakt.

De grootste veranderingen zitten rond de jaren 60 en daar heb ik me het afgelopen jaar dan ook inderdaad op geconcentreerd.

Een ander ding is dat ik dit jaar een totaal-aantal gevonden hits uit de zoekmachine kreeg terwijl die vorig jaar nog bij 100 hits stopte. Prima verbetering! (of deed ik toen iets fout??)

Nee dat is gewijzigd met de nieuwe zoekfunctie (hele verbetering inderdaad).

Heb mijn laatste lijst hier 5 jaar geleden gepost en was ooit begin dit jaar aan een edit begonnen, maar kwam zo teleurstellend weinig verbeteringen tegen (word ik oud en verzuurd??) met uitzondering van die laatste vijf jaar die ik kon toevoegen uiteraard dat ik het erbij heb laten zitten.

Misschien dat ik maar zo'n lijst per jaar per land ga maken

als je eenmaal het beste van een jaar hebt gezien, wordt de ruimte op verbetering natuurlijk wel klein

nog een opmerking: mijn jaren 80 is nu nog redelijk gevuld met "jeugd-favorieten", wellicht dat dit het komende jaar gaat veranderen nu ik langzaam naar die tijd aan het schuiven ben met het "inhalen" van de klassiekers... heb er zin in!

dit vind ik ook een mooie verschuiving: The Shop around the Corner (was The Great Dictator), zeker de leukere film van die twee, al issie historisch dan minder opzienbarend...

Ik zou wel wat meer Europese cinema erin willen, maar het blijft gewoon een ondergeschoven kindje.

Verder nog een aantal titels verdwenen middels "crash and burn". Psycho was eerst top 10 en nu gedaald naar 2,0*, alle jaren '80 en '90 blockbusters, ... De eerdere stemmen bij die films waren een residu uit mijn pre-MM tijdperk en veelal gebaseerd op "herinnering".

Leuk om eens zo'n lijst te maken, dan vallen je opeens dingen op in je eigen smaak. Zo was er veel meer keus uit favoriete films uit de jaren '70 dan de jaren '80 en is Godard met 5 jaar op rij duidelijk mijn favoriete regisseur uit de jaren '60.

Bij films van voor de jaren '60 was de spoeling wel erg dun. Daarvan heb ik er wat te weinig gezien, maar vaak vielen de echte klassiekers me dan ook een beetje tegen. Uit de jaren '20 wel weer een paar met een hoog cijfer.
