Mocht High Noon niks worden heb je het in ieder geval geprobeerd, . Ik heb zelf bij 1952 Sudden fear ingevuld. Alleen die heeft erg weinig stemmen.

In wezen zijn beide films in dezelfde lijn als The third man, d.w.z. er wordt langzaam een spanning opgebouwd.

Volgens mij hadden we 1952 al eerder als jaar bij de kop, waar sommigen moeite hadden een topfilm te kiezen. Ik had toen volgens mij ook al deze genoemd Saikaku Ichidai Onna (1952) (mijn enige 4.5* dat jaar). Aangezien je Rashomon ook hebt gekozen is The Life of Oharu wellicht ook wel aan je besteed.

Zou ook kunnen. Staat er ook in http://www.moviemeter.nl/list/topmisc/1952. Voor mensen die moeite hebben met invulling zouden die kleinere jaar/genrelijsten kunnen bekijken.

The Life of Oharu is ook een fijne tip Ook een mooie kans om een nieuwe regisseur te ontdekken. Zelfde geld ook voor High Noon trouwens. Zag in de lijst ook nog Ikuru en Umberto D. staan. Ook twee titels die hoog op menig toplijstje te vinden zijn Ikuru kan ook nog eens interessant zijn aangezien ik alleen wat Samurai films van Kurosawa gezien heb en buiten dat ook weinig bekend met zijn andere werk ben. Umberto D. Komt vast nog wel eens aan bod. Durf al niet zo goed aan De Sica's Ladri di Biciclette te beginnen die hier al tijden op Blu klaar ligt, nog niet iig.

DVD-T, heb jij The Rambler (2013) al gezien? Zo niet, dan tip ik je hem bij dezen. Heb zo'n vermoeden dat hij helemaal in jouw straatje ligt.

Ik verwarde hem eerst steeds met The Rover, die nog hoog op m'n watchlist staat.

Zwolle84, nee die is vreemd genoeg helemaal aan mij voorbij gegaan. Ziet er goed uit. Thanks. Ga ik snel eens kijken. Je moet zeker snel The Rover gaan kijken. Heel erg de moeite waard. Vooral het spel van Pattinson is genieten geblazen.

Ga ik zeker doen. Ik vind hem sowieso erg goed, vooral ook in Cosmopolis en MTTS.

. Heb trouwens nog een tip voor jou Zwolle84 waarvan ik denk dat je die wel kan waarderen. Weet niet of je hem al had gezien maar het is Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010)

Wow, die trailer is fantastisch, dank voor de tip! Gaat zeker op m'n watchlist, maar is helaas (nog) niet op Netflix of regio B blu-ray te zien.

Een tijd geleden heb ik dit al eens eerder geprobeerd, maar halverwege mee gestopt. Echt moeilijk is het niet. Ik ben een uurtje bezig geweest. Wel had ik bij het ene jaar, 1 à 3 films het jaar erop veel meer films. Dan moet je weer een keuze maken. Bij al die top 10's in verschillende topics, kan je een beetje schuiven en klaar.
