Brutal opening right from the go, can only hope for a bit of Terror with the mutilation.
This is a spatterfest of gooey cut ups, so much fun wrapped in a fiendish pumpkin.
So yeah, the film gave me the terror my black heart craved.
This should be a staple watch each new Halloween, good bloody fun, pumpkin style.
Chaos: The Manson Murders (2025)
I've been watching Charles Manson material, pretty much my entire life trying to understand how even with LSD he could be so charismatic that people would murder for him. I enjoyed this film greatly.
They do a nice job of crime scene investigating and archival footage with Manson, and he really was quite full of himself.

A bloody bizarre intro, so much slowly unfolding, and yet leaving more questions right off the bat. We've a new member to our household, everything seems to be going mad and maybe she came help.
Unsure of the sequence of episodes that are happening, but there is something off in the household.
The sheer brutality of the truth, the loss and pain are, and should be unimaginably painful.
Curse of La Llorona, The (2019)
I love that this is part of the Conjuring Universe, as this is a common folk tale told in Latin American households. I know we used it to test how brave other kids were, as there were horrible stories of people seeing her face and getting scratched in the bathrooms.
I really enjoyed this telling of the story as it was terrifying and had scary jump moments to it.
Great cast, with semi-decent facial expressions they were able to carry throughout the film
