Quote van een klein artikeltje over detective serie muziek wat ik een tijdje terug schreef;
''Inspector Lynley - Debbie Wiseman, Robert Lockhart and Andi Price
The Inspector Lynley series opening titles were written by Debbie Wiseman. This particular piece has to grow on you, not like themes from Morse or Midsomer Murder's that are intriguing right away. While Robert Lockhart scored most of the episodes, Wiseman went composing for the whole fourth season. Her debut episode 'In Divine Proportion' made her use the title theme constantly, like she had to distinct herself from Lockhart very clearly, but not working totally as effective as the music in other episodes might. If a piece of music, that you're only hearing in opening and closing credits, it might distract more than you'd imagine. The highly melodic score by Andi Price (did the 2006 series) for 'Chinese Walls' was unfortunately a bit too dramatic and dragging. No music was commercially released. I must say the scores miss a certain identity that I'm unable to detect yet.''
