Nee, we hebben het er alleen over gehad dat hij wel weer eens kan Film >> Toplijsten en favorieten >> Maak van een regisseur jouw toplijst. Voor het laatst in 2008.

Maar (gelukkig) niet meteen op 1 januari. (Anders had ik twee katers gehad ).

(Ik heb er wel bewondering voor dat hij zoveel succes heeft (gehad). Maar bombastische films, niks voor mij. En ik vind het ronduit belachelijk, dat hij, omdat hij zich moest bewijzen, een paar serieuze over sentimentele (ook weer niks voor mij) films (Band of brothers maar even meegeteld) gaat maken, waar hij (hier) ook nog het hoogst mee/overgewaardeerd wordt. Bah.).

Ook nog het een en ander dat ik moet herzien: Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Amistad, Artificial Intelligence: AI en Hook. Het zal nog wel een tijdje duren voordat ik die lijst heb afgewerkt, Spielberg is niet bepaald aan me besteed. Ik heb het gevoel dat hij alles voor je uit wilt spellen, met name de emoties. Die filmcomponist van hem versterkt dat alleen maar.

Een van m'n favoriete regisseurs: scoort een gemiddelde van 3,73*.

Tja, de kritiek hierboven deel ik grotendeels wel. Bombastisch, inspelend op de emoties. Spielberg is geen auteur. However, Jaws en Jurassic Park zijn zo een beetje de creme de la creme op het gebied van blockbusters, die ook nog eens overeind blijven als ik ze nu kijk (en dat doe ik dan ook jaarlijks). Over het algemeen echter geen fan.
