Hello everybody on this Film forum,

I’d like to give this great movie 4 stars out of 5. The whole series of the Underworld films are great and the best werewolf/ vampire story I’ve seen so far.

I’m taking part 3, Rise of the Lycans in particular. This film is chronologically the first one. You can just start watching the series by this one.

I liked the idea that the first lycans were uncontrollable wolfs, that once bitten, could not turn back to human. The first one who could; Lucian, was known as ‘the first Lycan’ by Viktor.

The part when Lucian and Sonja, werewolf and vampire, love each other is the best of the entire film. A forbidden love between the species. But when her father, Viktor, finds out between the affair and discovers that Sonja is pregnant, he kills her in front of Lucians eyes. That describes enough how much hate he has for the species for getting blended. The Lycans must remain slaves of the vampires but Lucian think about that in other way. The Lycans fight back (that’s where the title comes from) and the famous war between the species has begun!

Part 4 will be in theatres soon and I’m quite excited about it. I really like those movies, they should have been receiving all the credits instead of that crappy popular Twilight.

I think that Kate Beckinsale is the perfect actress for the vampire Selene. What I like most in the movies is that the storyline is so great. They all fit in so nicely. I don’t think any other film explain everything to the last detail and I don’t think there has ever been so much information in movies about the war between the vampires and werewolves.

The thing that I don’t like about the movies is that the werewolves aren’t looking that fantastic. They could be more wolf like and you see that the budget wasn’t so high. The vampires in other hand look great.
