1-0 de (aziatische)arthouse dwepertjes hebben elkaar weer gevonden. ontroerend.

1-2 Vette Aziatische shit, die Fountain.

Iedereen kan filosoferen met The Fountain. Een toepasselijke slogan die op de boks van de dvd niet zou mistaan en zo als een LOI cursus filosofie aan de man verkocht kan worden.

Een aaneenschakeling van kitscherige new age cinematografie waarbij het scenario een vermeend 'diepzinnig' epos voorschotelt over dood en verlangen. Deze accumulatie van clichés wordt voorzien van extra elan wanneer regisseur Darren Aronofsky 'zijn' Rachel Weisz, als in een mantra, quasi filosofische doch louter onzinnig gewauwel laat opsommen; telkens opnieuw.

Volkomen mee eens dragje. Spiritualiteit van het niveau Jomanda en Char. Zum kotzen. En Onderhond, Aziatisch stond niet voor niets tussen haakjes. Wel goed blijven lezen.
