"Exposing Today's Most Alarming Crime Ring!"
De welgestelde Faye Burton lijdt aan kleptomanie. Faye valt in handen van een bende professionele winkeldieven onder leiding van Herb Claxton en Ina Perdue. Herb en Ina willen Faye's contacten in het rijke milieu exploiteren. De politieman Jeff Andrews gaat incognito om de bende te achterhalen en Faye te redden.

Quote: "This 1950ish "crime drama" Noir quite a bit. it's sort of campy, but not overly so, imo. the heroine, played by mona freeman, is a "kleptomaniac" . She gets arrested for shoplifing and then gets tricked into joining a shoplifting gang by andrea king, who is an amazing femme-fatale in this film. she really steals the movie away from the rest of the cast. handsome and rugged scott brady is a cop who infiltrates the gang and befriends freeman. There is one very good dramatic scene wherein freeman becomes so despondent over her situation that she tries to commit suicide by drowning herself in the ocean. but of course, brady runs after her into the water and rescues her! along the way, there are scenes of "shoplifting lessons" by ms. king with her "pupil", miss freeman, lol., and sultry king as the owner of a nightclub which doubles as a front for the gang. add a few fights and car chases thrown in for good measure. .
Tony curtis has a decent role as one of the henchmen of the gang. and rock hudson has a teensy-tiny (only three short lines) role as one of the good guys in one of his first movies. he's in one of the first scenes, but you have to look quick! lol. all in all, i think it's a fun blast to the past when "kleptomania" seemed to be the faddish crime of the 50's (maybe due for a remake with winona ryder...)."
