Hoe is het trouwens mogelijk dat de regisseur niet meer bereikt heeft dan zijn verder nogal schamele MM-lijstje?
Uit zijn biografie blijkt dat de man een multitalent is:
Screenwriter, producer, director, playwright, novelist, Robin has had a career on both sides of the Atlantic. His film, The Wicker Man, is considered a classic of it’s genre. His fiction includes The Education of Don Juan, a Book of the Month selection in the USA, The Wicker Man (with Anthony Shaffer) and Don Juan’s New World. He had a critical success in London’s West End with Winnie his 1988 play, with music, about Winston Churchill, set at the Potsdam conference. His work for television has been world-wide: The Ramayna in India (with Ravi Shankar), Paradise Lost (with Sir Ralph Richardson) in England; The Frozen Moment (with Sessue Hayakawa) in Japan, among many others. He was for a number of years a leading producer/ director of Television Commercials in the USA and Europe. He is married and has eight children. ( bron )

Ah, ik had al visoenen over een lager wal geraakte man die zijn ideeën niet gefinancierd kreeg en op een eenzame hotelkamer al whiskeydrinkend mijmerde over dertig jaar geleden. Blijkt dus allemaal mee te vallen. Dat hij nog tijd heeft voor al die bezigheden met acht kinderen is ook wel knap.
