Een stervende man strompelt een restaurant binnen en vertelt vlak voordat hij zijn laatste adem uitblaast aan de gasten dat hij ergens een schat van vier miljoen dollar heeft verstopt. De gasten worden helemaal wild en gaan op zoek naar de schat, maar veroorzaken ondertussen flink wat chaos.

Glad Bags and DeLaurentiis Entertainment co-sponsored a real life million dollar treasure hunt to co-incide with this film's release. At the end of the movie, the cash is still missing, and moviegoers were invited to find the location of the hidden stash, using clues provided in the film. (The sponsors also emphasized that the money wasn't PHYSICALLY hidden anywhere, lest anyone injure themselves or damage property while searching for the loot.) Ticket buyers were even given game cards shaped like American currency--with a big photo of Dino DeLaurentiis where the President should be. In the end, it was a big disaster for the studio. The film just barely grossed a million dollars at the box office, and thus, the studio had to fork over most of its profits to the contest winner. (Incidentally, the money was hidden in the bridge of the Statue of Liberty's nose.)

Deze heb ik gekeken omdat er zo'n interessant verhaal omheen zit. De film zelf is verschrikkelijk. 0,5
