Yervant Gianikian

Sinds kort heb ik dankzij GODard deze underground documentaire cineasten ontdekt . Ik ben vooral geïnteresseerd geraakt in Yervant Gianikian & Angela Ricci Lucchi omdat volgend jaar een filmessay van GODard verschijnt dat deels overeenkomsten zal vertonen met underground avant-garde essays van deze cineasten .

Zijn essays doen mij een beetje denken aan filmische essays van Artavazd Peleshian en Chris Marker .

Tot voor kort was hij een grote onbekende voor mij en nu al een van mijn favoriete filmmakers ooit . Zijn documentaires / collages hebben mij meteen overtuigd , echt magisch . Als je van geschiedenis houdt , zijn deze docu's een must ! Collages van Gianikian zijn bijna allemaal even goed en tot nu toe heb ik maar 19 ( / 49 ) documentaires gezien, desalniettemin hier is mijn top 5 :
